The Ripening

The Summer Retreat  •  June 12–14, 2026

A Retreat of Full Expression, Courageous Living, and Embodied Aliveness

June in the Willamette Valley gives itself completely to growth. The grasses have gone full and golden at the edges, the roses are breaking open in colors that seem almost too sincere to be real, and the farm hums with the confidence of things that have committed to becoming what they are. This is the season of fullness. The plants have has stopped negotiating with the soil and simply grown.

This retreat asks you to meet that energy in yourself.

Most of us have learned, through long practice, to make ourselves smaller than we are. We qualify our ideas before we speak them out loud and we give our gifts at a discount, as though full expression would be too much, too forward, or too presumptuous. We have confused modesty with wisdom and called our contraction humility.

The summer land has no patience for this. It’s in full expression, and inviting you to to do the same.

The Ripening is a retreat that teaches you to experience your full expression. It takes courage to step into who you already are and stop managing how much of yourself you allow into any room.

You’ll spend three days on living land, surrounded by the evidence of what grows when given the right conditions, held by facilitators who have done this work themselves, asking one honest question:what would you do, say, create, or become if you gave yourself full permission?

01
You are already in motion in your life and sense you are living at partial capacity.

This retreat is for you if:

02
You give generously to others and have quietly learned to give less of yourself to your own work and vision.

03
You feel the press of unexpressed potential and are ready to answer it rather than manage it.

04
You are a leader, creative, teacher, healer, or seeker who is ready to inhabit your life more fully.

What to Expect

The Ripening retreat moves through three days of embodied practice, land-based learning, creative expression, and communal presence. Every experience is designed to serve the same intention: to help you locate what in you is ready to grow and to give it room.

Breath work

to open what has been kept quiet and release habitual patterns of contraction.

Somatic movement

practices that work with the body's wisdom rather than the mind's agenda.

Learning sessions

drawing on the wisdom of the summer season as an organic teacher.

Evening Fire Circles

for the kind of honest, witnessed, unhurried conversation that rarely happens anywhere else.

Creative expression

sessions offered as a practice of allowing rather than producing, a low stakes encounter with the experience of letting an art endeavor move through without editing it first. All materials are provided, and every level of creative experience is welcome.

Land-based mindfulness

practices using the farm in its fullest summer expression as a mirror for your own life.

Farm-sourced meals

that are nourishing, communal, and unhurried.

Arriving

3:00 pm

Arrival and settling in. This first few hours belong entirely to you. Walk the land, unpack, and let the week release its grip.

5:00 pm

Welcome dinner from the farm, unhurried and communal. A time of introductions and getting to know each other.

7:00 pm

Breathwork session with Joe Izzo. A guided somatic breath experience that uses the breath as both a physiological tool and a threshold into deeper awareness. Joe holds a container that is expansive and deeply nourishing, meeting each participant exactly where they are.

9:00 pm

Close of the evening. Participants are invited into silence for the night. Reflection questions are offering and a practice of listening to your inner voice is initiated.

Saturday, June 13

The Full Day

7:00 am

Optional sunrise meditation.

8:00 am

Breakfast.

9:00 am

Seasonal teaching with Ahriana Platten. A teaching settled in the wisdom of the summer season, exploring what ripening requires of us and what it costs to keep our gifts partially withheld. Discussion follows. We’ll be outside for part of our time together so dress accordingly.

10:00 am

Somatic release with Megan Moseley. A body-centered practice that works with the habitual patterns of contraction the morning has stirred. Megan guides participants through somatic release work drawn from Internal Family Systems, Hakomi, and Nervous System Resiliency, creating space for what the teaching has opened to be felt, moved through, and integrated.

12:30 pm

Lunch. Rest, journal, walk, be still or get to know others. After lunch is a good time to schedule a 1:1 session with a facilitator if you want one

3:00 pm

Movement and music with Saffire Bouchelion. Rhythm, breath, and embodied aliveness to open the body and awaken the senses. This session moves through Nia-informed movement, live percussion, and sound practices that invite full expression from the inside out. Expect to be surprised by what surfaces.

5:00 pm

Tea ceremony with Anna Caporael. Anna's ceremonial tea practice is an invitation to arrive fully in the body before the evening ahead. She moves through ritual with a quiet authority that settles the nervous system and opens the heart. Those who sit with her often find themselves surprised by how deeply they have arrived before a word has been spoken.

7:00 pm

Dinner together.

8:30 pm

We gather casually at the fire circle.

10:00 pm

Close. Participants return to their rooms for reflection and silence.
