Grounded Table

Grounded Table (formerly known as Humble Spirit) is the culinary home of The Ground, located in the heart of downtown McMinnville. Opening in 2022 and renamed Grounded Table on July 1, 2025, the restaurant reflects The Ground's regenerative ethos through a casually refined, farm-driven menu that follows the rhythm of the seasons and draws from the bounty of our nearby farm in Carlton. Guests are invited to experience the story of the land through their senses, allowing each dish to be a connection to the farm's roots. At the helm is Culinary Director Chef Sarah Schafer, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, whose three-decade career spans Gramercy Tavern, Irving Street Kitchen, and Cooperativa. Since joining The Ground in late 2023, Schafer has brought her soulful, ingredient-centered approach to life at Grounded Table, deepening the relationship between farm, kitchen, and community.
